As a Faculty, we’re in the process of setting up this blog to help and support everyone who’s studying English at the George Ward School. However, if you’ve stumbled over this site from somewhere else, then we’d like to think that it could help you too. We hope it’ll be a useful way for our pupils to:
- Discover exciting resources and websites which could help them progress in English
- Get to grips with the modules they’re studying
- Find new ways to improve the work they do in English lessons and across the school
- Communicate with us about their learning
- Develop new skills and extend or revise older ones
You’ll find a page for each year group which explains what you’ll be studying, provides you with resources you can use to further your studies and guides you to other sites which could help you. In addition, many of the teachers in the Faculty will be devoloping their own blogs which will give you even more advice on how to improve your English skills. Links to these blogs will be found in the sidebar.
We’re really pleased you’ve taken the time to visit the blog. Please use it appropriately -we’re sure no one will abuse it, but be aware of the legal issues relating to unsuitable usage and the IP Address tracking facility.
Please let us know what else you’d like to see on here in the future by using the comments feature on the blog.
